Rochester Institute of Technology recently did a campaign where they sent 33,000 personalized applications to potential students. RIT used XMPie to create the personalized applications. DME was actually one of the first adopters of XMPie technology (waaaay back in 2003) and we actually did some marketing programs for them.
The power of the variability and personalization resulted in a 16% increase in applications with the campaign still producing results. Once again, personalization works. Plus it probably helped eliminate reluctance in filling out the application since a lot of the fields would have been pre-populated.
They plan to increase the volume to 50,000 this fall.
